Our Petey the Boston Terrier is 12 1/2 years old. Some of you have met our "grumpy old man" and know he is a sweet, snoring, farting, licking and gentle little dog.
A week or so ago, Petey started walking in circles. Made me dizzy to watch him. Poor old guy has a cataract that completely blinds his left eye and the right eye is growing one too. He mostly sleeps - sort of like a cat. Smiley
I took him to the wonderful Hope Crossing Animal Hospital today for Dr Webster to give a look-see. Dr. W and Amy are fabulous!!
Basically Petey has either had a stroke or has a brain tumor. We will watch him for a week and contact them with any changes. We may need to take him to the Vet School for a CT scan.
I type this in tears. My grown children have been in tears too.
Folks, I ask for your prayers as we struggle with Petey and what to do next.
The hardest part of love is losing!! my heart goes out to you and your family, and I"m saying prayers for all!
ReplyDeleteOh Becky,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that Petey is having difficulties. As an owner of furry kids, I know how heartbreaking this is as they become older and they cannot tell you what is wrong or how they are feeling. I'll keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Cindy
That breaks my heart!! Your little Petey will be in my prayers as will your family. HUGS Mama!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so crying with you right now! I hope they can figure it out and find a good solution for him!
ReplyDeleteOur little four legged friends become such a huge part of our lives and such great friends. Some of my best friends ever have been my pets. My last dog let me know that it was time to go and Petey will let you know too. Until then love him and you will know what is best.
ReplyDeleteThoughts, prayers and blessings.
