GiveAway time cause Christmastime is near..........

I've been racking my Grinchy Brain- Puzzling and puzzling.....

Where does time go? How is it already December 2009? Where are my other reading glasses?  Why am I so very behind on getting projects finished? Do these jammy pants make my butt look big?  What ever will I make for the Sew, Mama Sew December Give Away?

The answers are simple I think.

Dunno
The calendar says so.
Probably in the bathroom.
You ARE the Queen of Procrasty Nation!
Yes.
A Christmas Apron, of course!

Don't have time to get a picture ready cause I have to have this posted asap.

But the apron will be handmade, holiday themed, practical and frilly.  It will have pockets and maybe some other goodies in the package just for you.

So here are the rules:

Leave a comment here telling the world your favorite Christmas/Holiday special.  (Add why cause it's fun.)

You have until Sunday, December 6 to enter.

For an extra entry - Spread the word.

1) Tell a friend or two and have them mention your name.  You know, "Kat told me about the Giveaway." or 2) Grab my button for your blog or website.

Leave another comment for each of these extra entries.

Be sure to leave an e-mail so I can contact you if you win.  Leave me a link to any extra entries.

My give away is open to US residents only.

You make have already guessed that my Favs are the all time standards, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."   They both debuted when I was a wee one and even as an adult I find both charming, funny and strong with the message of the strength of family and friends.

Now if I could just find a recording of the Peanuts Gang singing "Welcome Christmas!"

Nothing says it better than

 Dah who dor-aze!
 Welcome Christmas,
 Come this way!
 Fah who for-aze!
 Dah who dor-aze!
 Welcome Christmas,
 Christmas Day.
 Welcome, Welcome
 Fah who rah-moose
 Welcome, Welcome
 Dah who dah-moose
Christmas day is in our grasp
So long as we have hands to clasp
 Fah who for-aze!
 Dah who dor-aze!
 Welcome Christmas
 Bring your cheer
 Fah who for-aze!
 Dah who dor-aze!
 Welcome all Who's
 Far and near
 Welcome Christmas, fah who rah-moose
 Welcome Christmas, dah who dah-moose
 Christmas day will always be
Just so long as we have we
 Fah who for-aze
 Dah who dor-aze
 Welcome Christmas
 Bring your light
 (Bridge (about 65 sec))
 Welcome Christmas
 Fah who rah-moose!
 Welcome Christmas
 Dah who dah-moose!
 Welcome Christmas
 While we stand
 Heart to heart
 And hand in hand
 Fah who for-aze
 Dah who dor-aze
 Welcome welcome
 Christmas
 Christmas Day

  3. It would have to be Rudolph. The old timey clamation, Burl Ives' voice, the story, and the warm fuzzy feeling can't be beat. It always reminds me of being a little girl and looking forward to the Christmas specials that came on during the week. That is when you KNEW Santa was near. I gave birth to my first child this year and can't wait to show him Rudolph! ~Lisa

  7. My favorite, besides Charlie Brown, is A Wish for Wings That Work: A Bloom County Christmas. Opus helps Santa and his friends help him to fly. It's beautiful! It only aired one season and I thought I had imagined it. Bill and I gave each other the video for Christmas one year! Tee hee!

  8. I really like the Grinch. Very nice message about over commercialization actually and the songs are a hoot. Happy Holidays.

  9. I can't remember the name but it's little clay-mation job about how Santa becomes Santa and meets his wife. There is a mean guy named the Gergermister (sp?) but it's my favorite.

  10. I think you can look at my profile to see my email? I found your blog on SewMamaSew! Favorite memory is Santa leaving little boxes of cereal for us to eat on Christmas morning.

  11. This is a tough choice but I must say How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Even before I saw the movie I had one of those books with a cassette tape that beeped when you had to flip the page and I was in love with the story then.

  14. My favorites are Rudolph and Twas the Night Before Christmas. We had them taped on an old VHS cassette. Watching them now brings back some great childhood memories. I couldn't wait to pop the tape in as soon as it got the slightest bit chilly outside. I've always loved this time of year.

Christmas special? As in, something on TV? Hmmm. Do I Love Lucy marathons count? Those used to be on during the holidays, but I don't see them much anymore. Otherwise... I guess I'd have to say something like The Polar Express. I've actually only seen the movie once or twice. It was good, but the book is SO good, so of course I had to like the movie.

I'm also having a giveaway on my blog Craft Phesine. Click on over if you're interested: www.phesine.blogspot.com
