My 1960's House

Nah, Not the one we live in.
It was built in the 1990's.
The only house I have owned since the late 1960's.
Santa brought it to me.

I probably found it in the Sears Christmas Wish Book.

I was keeping it in a box under our bed.
I decided to set it up after taking all the Santas off the Buffet.
The living room - dining room combo is so modern!
Love that floating fireplace and hearth!!

If you look closely you can see there are twin beds in
both bedrooms. How 1960's modest!

I put "Father" in the bathroom because he is carrying newspapers.
"Sister" is in her room playing with a baby doll.
They actually came labeled with "Father" and "Sister" embossed on the bottom!
(I am sure there is some Freudian message in the fact that all these are the only "people" left in this collection.)

Missing a front wall too.
hmmmmm..........

There are absolutely no identifying marks on
this whole set of pieces!
arrrgh! Would love to find more pieces and parts.

Blog Blues

Thank goodness we survived the Holidays!
For many reasons this time of year is always tough on us but we do muddle through.
This year was especially tough for us as just 2 days before Christmas,
we lost our 13 and 1/2 year old Porter Gangs Our Rascal Petey.

Petey was a ham - he'd pose for pictures.

He liked to keep up with current events.
I'm quite sure at least one of them had just farted.
Petey was quite excellent at it as well as snoring!

Petey loved to hunt for frogs,

 play in the snow

 and ride in the car.

He could do a Show Dog prance - his parents were champions.

He could hang with the big dawgs

 and tackle the biggest sticks.

 So many stories.
Such a sweet baby.
